In the summer 2005 BASF realised the floor refurbishment in a bakery plant with the UCRETE system. The very good experience convinced customer and operator to opt again for one of our solutions. The flat roof was in a very bad condition and needed emergency refurbishment. The original roof waterproofing system - a bitumen sheet membrane - had repeatedly developed leaks despite several repair attempts. The large number of openings in the roof (skylights, air-conditioning, etc.) posed a special challenge. This was why it was decided to use a system which could waterproof without any additional joints or pre-formed components and could be sprayed directly onto the bitumen membranes. This avoided to interrupt the operations indoors. It also had to resist to high moisture and temperature changes from the inside. The seamless, spray applied CONIROOF System met all the requirements. Additionally it offered the highest 25 years life guarantee according to the EOTA specifications. The owner opted to have the roof completely waterproofed with the BASF solution.
