APOLLO Bridge over river Danube, Bratislava
The new Apollo Bridge in Bratislava (Slovakia) required a sturdy crack bridging and waterproofing system for this pedestrian and bicycle bridge as well as the protection of the centre console and the bridge heads against an aggressive environment. The solutions proposed were to repair the untreated concrete support columns, protecting the centre console and the bridge heads (against e. g. de-icing salts) and sealing and protecting the feeder roads and exposed ramps. The systems applied have been used previously on a large number of projects and met all the clients’ needs.
